This gallery is about Thomsonite and its unique characteristics and properties. This collection is a selection of Museum Quality stones I have collected sine the 1970s. Nearly all of them are Lake Beach stones. Most are beach polished and thus have inclusions (appear as flaws or cracks but the are not) and apparent imperfections. Some do not have a high polish because the are not worked by human hands. They can have a high polish but I am fascinated by the natural beauty of the beach polish finish. One thing I need to stress is that that many of the most beautiful Thomsonites have flaws because to try to go deeper cutting and polishing can wipe out the color in the stone and turn a extremely rare and valuable stone into a near worthless specimen. These stones are extremely rare. I am offering them to you now as loose stones or for you to choose to have me set in a design we can work on together. Also at this time a imposter has been brought to the market by foreign stones dealers and falsely labeled as Thomsonite on EBAY and ETSY it is actually Natrolite . When you see a group of large stones that all look the same and priced very cheap with a vaguely similar but mottled pink with no other colors and no eyes it is Natrolite not Lake Superior Thomsonite.
